Before reviewing allowances

Agency allowances belong to the agency billing account, not to each direct client account. Use this page before creating another client workspace, starting a client scan, enabling monitoring, buying fix credits or promising white-label report delivery. Start from the Agency page when you need to confirm the owning workspace, Agency Plan state, monthly scan capacity, client slots and overage path in one place. Agency Plan is the only public agency subscription; larger capacity must be shown as account-specific overage before promising extra client delivery.

Read agency allowance state

Follow the path `Agency → Agency workspaces → Plan state → Scan allowance → Client limits → Review billing state`.

  1. Open /agency while signed in as an agency owner or admin. Result: the Agency page shows every agency workspace you can operate, with plan state, projects, shared reports, scan allowance and client limits.
  2. Open [Billing](/billing) while switched to the agency account.
  3. Find the agency account that owns the client relationship. Result: you read the Agency Plan and allowance state instead of a direct customer account or unrelated workspace.
  4. Read Plan state before starting client work. Result: you know whether Agency Plan can support agency delivery or whether Billing needs account-specific overage or provider confirmation.
  5. Compare Scan allowance with Scan usage. Result: you know how many agency scans remain this month before starting another client project scan.
  6. Read Client limits and the Client accounts count. Result: you know whether another client workspace can be created before you collect client details or assign a project.
  7. Read Monitoring and Fix credits before promising recurring checks or remediation. Result: the next action is Review billing state, Create client account, Configure white-label controls or resolve a plan block.

Use client slots and scan allowance

Client slots and monthly scan allowance are the two limits that usually block agency delivery first.

  • Create one client workspace for each client organization in [Manage client accounts](/docs/accounts/manage-client-accounts) only when the Client limits value has capacity.
  • Agency Plan is the only public agency subscription; larger capacity appears as agency overage or account-specific capacity, not as Growth or Pro public tiers.
  • Start a client scan only when Scan usage still has remaining allowance or Billing shows a valid upgrade path.
  • Add monitoring only when the Monitoring card shows included capacity or an overage path that can be completed through Billing.
  • Buy discounted fix credits only after the report has eligible findings and the Fix credits card points to an available pack.
  • Configure [White-label controls](/docs/accounts/white-label-controls) after the client workspace and allowance state are clear; branding alone does not add plan capacity.

Handle overages and blocked states

Blocked states should point to a specific automated next action.

  • Agency allowance required means switch to the owning agency workspace or create the agency billing account before assigning client delivery.
  • Wrong billing account means the client project is open under an account that does not own the Agency Plan or allowance.
  • Client slot required means add agency overage capacity or finish an inactive client workspace before reusing a slot.
  • Plan limit reached means reduce the requested workflow, wait for the next allowance period or add agency overage capacity shown in Billing.
  • Monitoring not included means do not schedule recurring scans until the Monitoring card or Billing plan state includes them.
  • Fix access not included means use ticket-only/report-only remediation until an eligible fix credit pack is available.
  • Provider unavailable means use [Plan and credit blocks](/docs/troubleshooting/package-and-credit-blocks) and wait for provider-ready Billing state before retrying checkout.

Continue agency delivery

After allowances are clear, continue to [Manage client accounts](/docs/accounts/manage-client-accounts) to create or assign the client workspace. Continue to [White-label controls](/docs/accounts/white-label-controls) only after the client workspace and report sharing boundary are correct. When the plan card, credit balance or provider state is unclear, use [Understand entitlements and services](/docs/billing/packages-and-credit-state) before starting client scans, monitoring or fix-credit checkout.
