Before you start

Team invitations grant account access without sharing owner credentials or moving projects between accounts. Use this page when the teammate should work inside an existing account as an owner, admin or viewer. Invite people only from the account they should actually use. For agency work, confirm whether the teammate needs agency account access, a client workspace assignment or read-only report access before sending the invite.

Send an invitation

Follow the path `Accounts → Account detail → Team invitations → Pending invitation`.

  1. Open /accounts and choose the account that should receive the teammate. Result: the account detail page shows the current role badge and the Team invitations panel.
  2. Confirm that you are an owner or admin and that the teammate should join this account, not a client workspace or personal account. Result: the invitation scope is correct before an email is entered.
  3. In Team invitations, enter the teammate Email. Result: WebRiskOps can send the invite to the intended inbox without sharing owner credentials.
  4. Choose the least privileged Role that matches the teammate work. Result: the invite grants only the account permissions needed for project, report, billing or agency tasks.
  5. Click Send invite. Result: a pending invitation appears with the selected role label and expiry state.
  6. After the teammate accepts, confirm they appear in Team roles. Result: future role changes happen from the member list instead of sending duplicate invites.

Track pending invitations

Pending invitations are temporary account access requests. Resend only when the same intended recipient still needs access, revoke invites that are no longer needed and change accepted users from Team roles instead of sending a second invite.

Continue to account switching

After the teammate accepts, continue to [Switch between accounts](/docs/accounts/switch-accounts) so they can verify the correct account is active before opening projects, reports or billing. For role boundaries, return to [Manage roles and client workspaces](/docs/accounts/roles-and-client-workspaces).

Availability boundaries

Invitation actions depend on account role, plan limits and whether the recipient has already accepted another account path.

  • Owner or admin required means viewers can inspect account state but cannot send invitations.
  • Invitation expired means the recipient needs a new invitation before joining the account.
  • Email already in use means the teammate may already have an account path; confirm the intended account before sending another invite.
  • Role too broad means the selected role grants more access than the teammate needs; choose viewer for read-only report review.
  • Billing ownership unchanged means inviting a teammate does not move subscription or payment responsibility away from the account owner.
